What we are

A private portfolio of .com names, mostly real estate, based in the United States. Some of the names were registered by us; others were picked up at registrar auctions. Buying directly from owners is what this site is for.

We have reviewed thousands of real estate .com names and own several hundred. We know what they change hands for, and what they don't.

Grant handles acquisitions. When you hear from Copper Domains, that is who is writing, and that is who answers.

How we work

• Outright purchase. We buy with our own funds and pay in full at closing. No payment plans, no lease-to-own, no "we'll pay you when it sells".
• Wholesale, stated. Our figure is a wholesale figure, stated in writing, with no commission taken from it.
• Direct. We write to owners ourselves. We do not use brokers, and we do not pay or take commissions.
• In writing. Every offer, acceptance and transfer detail is an email you keep.
• Through escrow or a marketplace. Money and names never pass hand to hand. See closing and transfer.
• Answered. Every name sent to us gets a reply, including the ones we pass on.

Why names get bought this way

Many good .com names sit in accounts where they are no longer used: a project that ended, a business that renamed, a registration that renews each year out of habit. The owner wants a clean sale, not a drawn-out negotiation or an anonymous form. A direct, written offer from an identifiable buyer, closed through escrow, is the simplest way for both sides to get that done. That is the whole of what we do.

This site sets no cookies, loads no analytics and runs no third-party scripts; nothing about your visit is recorded. When you email us, your address and message are kept for that conversation and are not added to any list or shared with anyone. Names we buy are registered with privacy protection.

Verifying it is us

All correspondence comes from an address ending in @copperdomains.com, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC in place so your mail provider can check it. We do not write from free mailboxes or other domains. If you are unsure about a message, write to grant@copperdomains.com yourself and ask.
